Today’s visit was for small appliance circuits not working. Customer had home power washed over the weekend and one of the outside receptacles is on the small appliance circuits. There was power but either GFCI receptacle would reset. The devices are old throughout the home and should be replaced. I highly recommend this. Visit was for running dedicated circuit to heat pump on exterior of home. Pool heat pump requires 50 amp 240 volt dedicated circuit with disconnecting means for shut off. Please see attached for getting this taken care of for you.
Customer had circuit not working. Turns out that the breaker was turned off. There was an outside GFCI connected to that circuit. See below for work performed today. I ran a 20 amp dedicated circuit from the right handed main electrical panel to outside then with UF cable i was the circuit next too existing lines outside where i supported it throughout the run. Then i cut a 2 gang old work box size hole and drilled outside where i then pushed the wires inside the office. I installed the 2 gang old work box then i installed 2 tamper resistant receptacles and a plate. I drilled a hole through the concrete to get inside the home where the electrical panels were and i landed the wires in the right hand electrical panel on circuit #5. I installed a 20 amp arc fault breaker I did discuses with the customer about how the panels have double tapped neutrals and how this could lead to potential overheating on the neutral bar. Also I recommended the outside circuit which is connected to the garage be changed to gfcis and we will line side all the gfcis so if one trips it doesn’t affect the rest of the circuit.
