Today’s visit was to take a look at replacing three preexisting bedroom ceiling fans. When we arrived, we inspected the current fans, and verified that the switches were functioning properly. We inquired if the homeowners were interested in dimmers and/or fan speed controllers, but they were happy with the existing switches. During our assessment, we also made note of some original smoke detectors (20+ years) and suggested they be replaced. Today, the homeowners elected to just have the ceiling fans replaced. We’ve installed all three of the new bedroom fans, paired the remotes, and they are all working properly. Install 3 customer supplied ceiling fans. Includes Haas and Sons VIP Membership.

The reason for today’s visit was to provide a solution to replace the customers attic fan. Upon arrival customer noted they have not heard it running in a while so he wanted to get it looked at. We went up in the attic and noticed it was turned off. We informed the customer and turned it back on. He noted that the solar company was up there and might of turned it off. The fan was running properly and motor sounded functional. We also checked the electrical panel which was missing surge protection and had multiple multi wired branch circuits. we informed customer and provided solutions which he was not ready to move forward with at this time and might revisit it and the VIP program at a later date.

For this call, I came out to assess switching issues in multiple areas of the home. Every switch I opened up was severely damaged, cracked, switch face coming off, posing not only functional issues but safety hazards throughout the whole home. All home devices are original to home and in similar condition. Addiotnally, they are all wired with the “backstab” wiring method, the quickest way for builders to get in and out but not the most safe or sustainable wiring method. I suggest replacing every switch, receptacle, fan control , GFCI and dimmer in the home to prevent more severe issues than just not functioning properly. Installation of new 50 amp surface mounted receptacle. We will remove current outlet and rotate 90 degrees to remove the major kink inside of the appliance whip. We will then install a new Pass & Seymour surface mounted 50 amp.

Provide estimate for panel replacement and attic installation

This estimate will be for replacing a GFCI receptacle located in the basement with a new properly functioning one. Additionally we will replace all four exterior duplex receptacles with GFCI receptacles. This will allow each receptacle to provide its own GFCI protection so that customer is able to pin point exact cause of nuisance tripping as well as maintain power to the rest of the circuit even when one GFCI receptacle has tripped

Replace switch that controls garbage disposal. Called out today to investigate switch that was not working. I took out the switch leg from the disposal and bypassed the switch, and the disposal turned on. This told me that the switch was bad, and needed to be replaced. I gave a solution to replace the switch.

Provide a pricing to run three dedicated circuits for customer as well as to install whole home surge protection in the main panel.

The reason for today’s visit was to take a look at both a few basement receptacles and some basement lighting that had lost power and was not working. When I arrived, I met with the homeowner and went downstairs to check the circuit. I started checking the receptacles with my plug tester, which showed no issues and proper voltage. I ended up pulling a few of the outlets to verify that the wiring was secure, when I did so I found that the receptacles had been quick wired/backstabbed, and recommended a redevice of the circuit as the devices were original to the home (20-30 years). I also opened up the switchbank controlling the scheme by recessed lighting, half of which was still operating properly. I found that the switches were also backstabbed/quick wired and explained how the heating/cooling of the wires as the circuit is used causes loose connection of the wiring to each device over time. For this call, we came out to estimate a customer supplied hardwired ChargePoint EV Charger. Customer mentioned a potential for a rebate program and I explained the process on our end with pulling a permit and providing a load calculation to the county, with the addition of bringing the panel up to current safety minimum standards. Customer also asked for an estimate with a 30A circuit. I provided our suggested 50A circuit and his requested circuit with safety upgrades and pricing including a Permit.

For this call, we came out to assess the microwave circuit. I tested the integrity of the circuit and everything was fine. The customer stated the breaker will trip when the microwave is not being used. It was an old gen 2 br dual function breaker, which I have replace many of personally in this area. I checked the reason for the last trip and determined the breaker needed to be replaced. Customer denied the VIP Care Plan at this time. Replace (1) Gen2 Br Dual Function breaker

For this job, we came out for an annual maintenance inspection. We educated on “backstabbed” devices, however customer did not want estimate for replacement. We did update a few safety observations in the panel and educated on Whole Home Surge Protection. Provider pricing to install a level two customer supplied car charger in two different locations. My first solution included replacing the wire and pipe running from the house out to the garage as well as upgrading the subpanel. Our second solution addresses concerns of the main panel, which includes installing the car charger on the back of the home next to the driveway as well as replacing the main panel.

Redevice of old, loose ivory receptacles in son’s bedroom, main bedroom, front living room, dining room, kitchen near sink, and back living room. Addition of GFCI protection in both upstairs bathrooms, first floor bathroom, and near kitchen sink. Replace switch controlling outlet in front living room, and switches near sink. Replaced GFCI in main bedroom bathroom, burnt up receptacle in kitchen, and receptacles and switches near kitchen sink, adding GFCI protection where necessary. Will return Thursday to complete rest of quoted work. Returned today to complete rest of work per quote.

For this job, we came out to replace customer supplied fixtures in the kitchen and in the hallway. We replaced standard toggle switches with dimmer switches for both areas. Additonally, we added a Whole Home Surge Protector on a dedicated breaker inside the panel. Customer enrolled into our VIP Care Plan as well.

Today’s visit was for electrical corrections because of the installation of the new deck. The decking company is pulling a permit and wants the electrical wiring to be brought up to code. Under the deck there was an extension cord that went up the wall into a switch. We disconnected it from the switch and capped it in the box, and he is going to remove the wire himself. The customer still wanted switch controlled power to the exterior outlets, so we would run wire from the switch to the receptacle on the other side of the wall, by replacing the 2 gang box, and install a GFCI with a weather proof box. In our second solution we would install a weather proof metal box, GFCI, and a weather bubble cover under the deck.

This solution includes the replacement of the homes smoke alarms. We have replaced the homes existing smoke alarms. Membership acquired.

This solution includes the installation of 2 receptacles in the master bedroom closet. Also includes removing and replacing the existing closet fixture with a new customer supplied fixture.

- V.I.P Membership - Installation of four new recess lights in the kitchen jumping from previous existing boxes - Removal and replacement of one canned recess light with a Gimbal - Removal and replacement of two upstairs lights and putting recess lights in their place. Reason for today’s visit with the customer was lights that had loss of power for two kitchen lights. Customer expressed interest in getting rid of these lights entirely as she was tired of changing the bulbs and dealing with them. We agreed that four recess lights would go perfectly in the kitchen. We will additionally be changing the old canned recess lights out with a new gimbal style recess light for the coffee area. We will be putting a dimmer on the four new recess lights. There is already a switch leg run up into a box for the older lights. I will be putting a blank on those boxes but jumping the switch leg from them. Reason for today’s visit with the customer was to quote installation of a dedicated circuit for a water heater. Upon arrival I noticed two very full QO panels supporting a 400 AMP Service. Additionally the area where the circuit would go is completed covered in Sheetrock and some of the rooms are unaccessible. Upon digging in further I realized that a senior technician is needed due to the complexity of the circuit run and the high service load currently being used. We will be returning on the 22nd of September to revisit the project and find a way to handle the new 240 volt circuit.

Replacement of old smoke and carbon monoxide detectors with company supplied detectors. Detectors have a 5 year warranty with Haas and Sons Electric and a 10 year manufacturer warranty. We were called out today to look at replacing some smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. I noticed the detectors were starting to yellow and a few chirped on their own indicating that they needed to be replaced. While assessing the panel, I noticed that there was one multi wire branch circuit that was not on a two pole breaker as well as that the panel was lacking surge protection. I gave a solution to address the breaker and add surge protection along with the smoke detectors. The customer was only interested in the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors at this time, but would be interested in the surge protector and breaker in the future. We replaced at total of 9 detectors, 3 Smoke/CO units and 6 Smoke units. 2 smoke, 1 combo in the basement; 1 smoke, 1 combo on the first floor; 3 smokes and 1 combo
