Arrived onsite and she brought us to the kitchen where she showed me the outlet genny put in and asked me if i could move it because her drywall/plaster guy couldn’t refinish the drywall with it as recessed as she put it, so i moved it out so when the plates on, it is perfectly flush with the drywall. Then we discussed the kitchen light which was an old metal box style light. After taking it down( it was falling out of the ceiling at this point) i found 3 wires junction and then the main wire to the light. I disconnected that box from the old fixture which was just an 8b, and stacked it with the new 8b that was rated for fans with a ring and brought a new wire down for a connector. I was able to set it up so then junction was accessible but there was one 14/2 wire cooking down to hookup to the light. I set it as flush with the plaster as I could given the mesh in the ceiling and how thick the plaster was there, the box would only grip at a certain point. I got that in place and level,

Arrived onsite and they showed me to the electrical panel where I assessed the opening, and found where I could poke out to wire the charger in. I took a more in depth look at the panel to make sure their panel could handle the load, and then we went outside and talked options, details of the job, and I answered any questions they had. I then wrote up a quote for a plug and hardwired installation and verified they were buying the correct one off amazon. They said they would be in touch to let us know what they decide.

Today’s visit was for light not working in two different rooms, receptacle loose in laundry area, and install of receptacle in hallway. During assessment, we found that one light had bulbs but the other had a bad switch. Also, the receptacle in laundry area had no box. The basement kitchen needed GFCI protection as well as the basement laundry area. The panel was missing surge protection. I also recommend doing a whole home re-device which we will discuss again at annual maintenance inspection. See below for work performed today: Install whole home surge protection in main panel Install GFCIs in basement kitchen Install GFCI in basement for washer Install receptacle in upstairs hallway using close power source Replace light switch in upstairs bedroom Install box and GFCI in upstairs laundry area

Today’s visit was for garage not having power. Wiring out to the garage is cloth wire and very old. All of the wiring out in the garage is also old and some not even the right size for the circuit. Devices are also old and broken. Front part of switch snapped off as soon as I pulled it out of the box. I highly recommend running new wire to and throughout the garage as well as replacing all devices (receptacles and switches). Please see attached solutions to get this resolved for you.
