Was called out today to give an estimate on removing and installing 3 customer supplied ceiling fans and 1 light fixture

Remove and replace 3 combo detectors and 2 smoke detectors. 1 combo detector is located on each level of the home and the other 2 smoke detectors are located in the bedrooms. The detectors will be company supplied

Installation of new whole home surge protector. Installation of new dedicated 30 amp circuit for the cook top. We will run a new wire from the sub panel located in the back basement. We will utilize the chase from the AC duct and may have to cut a new access between both points. We will then install the new induction cook top. This does not include any drywall repairs that may need to take place. We will return the patches as we cut them but will not paint nor patch. Installation of new whole home surge protector to further protect the sub panel and the main electrical system attached to it. We ran our wire through the unfinished area from the panel, through the bulk head, and using to small dry wall cuts that we covered with blanks and drilled up to a new junction box.

Provide estimate for GFCI replacement due to power loss issue

For today’s visit was to inspection landscaping lights that have intermittent power. It was sue to the electrical connections in several different places going bad. To correct and fix this issue we would need to replace the electrical splices and about 14 land scraping lights in total. We will reach back out to you as soon as we have pricing, expect about 1-3 business days.

Installation of customer supplied smoke detectors one per floor. Installation of new switch for the basement bathroom.

Called out today to look at a ceiling fan installation. We started in the room with the ceiling fan. The ceiling fan itself was out of the ceiling and the wires were not connected. We began to locate and determine which was which. We found that the feed was actually in the fan box itself and ran down to the switch bank. We went ahead and moved forward with installing a customer supplied ceiling fan with receiver and remote. We also checked the main panel. The main panel is a little older but it is not it the worst same. The main panel actually fed a federal pacific sub-panel. This sub-panel needed to be removed due to the potential hazards it can cause to the property. We also noticed on each terminal on the ground bar that there was 2 grounds and 2 neutrals landed on each lug, being multi-tapped twice. Troubleshoot The reason for today’s visit, what’s the troubleshoot a breaker that was tripping. After troubleshooting the entire circuit going through we found that there was a bad splice hidden in the unfinished area in a junction box above the insulation. The circuit that was affected was the office lights, hallway, lights, bathroom, and the unfinished area lights. After we found the issue, we corrected the splice and everything powered back up.

Install two customer supplied chandeliers in the front foyer and over the dining room table. Install 2 customer supplied light fixtures in the hallway. Includes Haas and Sons VIP Membership. Called out today to give solutions for install multiple customer supplied fixtures. Customer purchased two chandeliers to be installed above the dining room table and in the foyer respectively, and two light fixtures to be installed in the hallway. While performing my safety assessment, I saw that the main electrical panel was original to the home (1975), making over 50 years old. We recommend that panels be replaced every 25-35 years. This panel also did not have a main breaker, multiple multiwire branch circuits, double tapped neutrals, and was lacking the proper grounding and bonding. Install a customer supplied hardwired car charger and run a 60 amp circuit from panel to the charger.

Replace lightbulbs in front light fixture above garage.

Called out today to provide solutions for install a dedicated circuit for a car charger. Customer was interested in installing a NEMA 14-50 receptacle for a plug-in car charger. Customer is renting the property and planned on moving in the next year-and-a-half, thus wanting the plug-in option. I recommended against this due to the circuit needing to be protected by a GFCI breaker, which can causing nuisance tripping of the breaker due to the GFCI protection built in to the charger. I also provided a solution to install a hardwired car charger, which does not require GFCI protection. Customer needs to weight their options, and will call back to schedule work when ready to proceed.

Install dedicated 20 amp circuit for dehumidifier in the crawlspace. The new dedicated circuit has GFCI protection at the breaker so customer will not have to go into the crawlspace to reset if it ever trips.

Install a new, 2 gang receptacle box and install a GFCI and receptacle on laundry circuit. Install doorbell transformer on laundry circuit receptacle box. Run a new hardwired doorbell wire for a Ring door bell. Install Ring door bell. Some drywall will have to be cut to run circuit. Called out today to give solutions for hardwiring a Ring doorbell. There is an unfinished laundry room underneath the doorbell location where I would derive power for the new doorbell transformer. I would install a new 2 gang device box and install GFCI and receptacle where there is currently only a single receptacle. I would then install the hardwired transformer and run the new doorbell wire to the Ring doorbell. I would have to cut drywall underneath the doorbell location on the interior wall to be able to run the doorbell wire to the basement. Returned today to complete WPQ. For this job, we came out to assess a 3way switching system not functioning properly. We determined a 3way switch had gone bad meaning it stopped functioning as it should. Additionally, we replaced a few switches throughout with dimmer switches and proactively replaced another 3 way switch to prevent failure. Upon inspecting each main panel, I observed an improperly wired multi wire branch circuit being on (2) single breakers rather than the appropriate 2 pole breaker with the common trip handle. Lastly, we replaced (2) loose breakers in the sub panel. Customer is now enrolled in our VIP Care Plan. Replace three switches that are broken and one GFCI that is not working correctly in the kitchen. Called out today to investigate a switch that was not working. When I arrived, I was directed to a switch in the kitchen that was not working. Turning on the switch, I could hear arcing and crackling when the switch was turned on, causing the kitchen light to flicker. This told me the switch was bad. Customers also let me know of two other switches that were broken. One of these switches controlled a switch controlled outlet. The switch was broken in such a way that made the outlet constantly powered. Another switch controlled the kitchen track lighting that was starting to loosen, causing a weak connection with the contactors inside the switch. I also found that the kitchen GFCI did not trip when a ground fault occurred, requiring replacement. Most of the devices (plugs and switches) were original to the home, being at least 50 years old. Today’s visit was for china cabinet lights that were in storage for 15+ years. The customer recently moved in and is renting the town home. When we investigated the lights we found old light bulbs broken inside of the female socket, which prevented new bulbs to be able to be screwed in. We removed the old broke ones, and put new ones in to test each one to check if they still worked. All of them passed the test and had power and gave light.

Installed customer supplied bulbs and light fixtures customer could not reach. The lights included the primary bedroom, ceiling, light, primary bathroom, vanity, light, as well as the oven.

Installation of new doorbell with chime kit. We will replace current broken kit and run new wire/housing for doorbell transformer. We will also replace a damaged GFCI and switch located in the hall bath.

For this job, we came out to look at a range breaker that started tripping a few months ago. Upon looking at the specs of the range, we noticed the breaker was oversized for the new appliance as well as loose connection on the range cord. Additionally, there was a multi wire branch circuit and properly terminated in the panel as it was on (2) single pole breakers rather than properly on a two pole breaker with a common trip handle.
