Today’s visit was for exterior light not working. During my assessment, I noticed there were multi feed circuits on single pole breakers and neutrals under the same terminal within the panel. There was 120V at fixture. I also tried to replace the bulbs to make sure it was indeed the fixture. The fixture also has what looks like a birds nest inside. Please see the multiple solutions to get these resolved for you.

Was called out to install ceiling fans in (3) bedrooms and (1) exterior light. Upon my assessment, I noticed there were many multi feed circuits in the panel on single pole breakers. Also, the gas line was not bonded. I do recommend getting surge protection in the future to protect your home and all of your appliances as well. Work performed today: Install (3) ceiling fans in upstairs bedrooms Replace (1) exterior light on back deck Replace single pole breakers with two pole breakers for multi feed circuits Bond gas line from panel to manifold

Todays visit was to assess power loss to the garage lights, laundry area lights, mudroom, sink light and the back door lights. I went through the circuit I tested all the wires to see where the issue was. I found that the circuit and question was on a multi feed which meant it was on a common trip breaker with the sump pump. I never down the issue to a jumper in the middle of the circuit. Yes you ended up being on the switch leg from the sink light to the switch itself. It appears as though when the siding was being done on the back of the house and they all went through and tipped the wire. I was able to free the wire from the nail and it is no longer tripping. I did explain to the customer that this may not be a permanent fix and that I would suggest future issues. Customer declined at this time as it would mean I would have to take down the cabinet and cut holes in the ceiling and wall. Then offered an alternate solution of tapping off the recessed light right next to it so it would

Customer had an outlet in the left corner of his dinning room closet to the kitchen that was getting hot. Upon initial inspection I could see melting plastic on the inside slot of the neutral side of the device. Once I removed the device I could see that the top screw on the device that held down the neutral wire was loose and the arcing caused the metal to heat up and caused the plastic to begin to melt. I inspected the other devices in he area and none of them were damaged. I replaced the burnt up device and cut off the burnt bit of wire.

Customer had a gfci circuit that was out due to a power outage I found the customer had multiple gfcis on this circuit and they were line sided and load sided. So when the power went out you had to find the correct sequence of gfcis to reset to get them all back online So I removed all the receptacle devices in all bathrooms one in garage and 3 outside and then spliced all the appropriate wires together and pig tailed off the splice then installed tamper resistant GFCIs inside and line sided the wires. Then I went outside and installed weather resistant GFCIs and in use bubble covers in all locations and siliconed around the boxes to protect the devices from wether elements as much as possible. With line siding the devices, if a device fails it will not affect the other devices on the circuit Customer has a 1 year warranty
