We were originally called out here to take a look at the bathroom heater which kept tripping the breaker I opened up the heater and found the wires had arced and connected with the metal casing around the heater which caused it to trip the breaker the customer already had a replacement heater that fit perfectly inside the metal framing so I swapped that out real quick turn the breaker on and the heater still was not working so I examined the electrical panel and found that the two pole 20 amp breaker was actually sizzling causing the circuit to not work properly I remove And replace the 2 pole 20 amp Square D Q0 electrical breaker with a company supplied turned on the breaker and then everything worked fine

Reason for today’s visit was a range that was not working properly. When I arrive customer stated that their range only had some burners that were working and that the self was not working at all. I checked the power in the main panel as well as the load shedding box for the generator that shut the range on and off. Both the breaker and the load shedding box were functioning properly and were allowing voltage through. The issue was with the range itself. After trying to use the controls on the range we noticed half of them were not working. Customer will either need to replace the range or have an appliance company come out to repair.

Customer had recessed lights not working. While completing my performance and safety assessment, I discovered that the switches were backstabbed causing heat to loosen the connections. This was on all devices throughout home. Customer mentioned that in 2021 during the tornado, they lost power to the rear of the home and had devices in that part of the home re-deviced. Although they were terminated on the screw properly, they were not spliced together which could cause a break in the circuit if one of the devices were to fail. As soon as I pulled the switch out, it began to work again. I will be replacing both switches that control the lights as well as installing a surge protector in the panel. I highly recommend re-devicing the entire home to prevent this from happening again in the future. With the house only being 5 ears old, this should not be happening if they were spliced and terminated properly. As well as surge protection. Today I will replace the 3-way switch and dimmer s

customer showed me things on his home inspection report and i corrected these issues 1. A loose outlet in sunroom. It was missing a 6-32 screw so i installed new screws for the outlet and it is now tightly secure to the single gang new work box inside the wall 2. Double tapped neutrals in right electrical panel Customer has 400 amp service and in the right 200 amp panel customer had double tapped neutrals on neutral bar. I separated all grounds and double tapped neutrals so the neutrals are on their own separate screws which makes the neutral bar code compliant now 3. Upstairs main hallway room had a receptacle with an open ground. I opened up and checked all outlets on the circuit that the open ground receptacle was on and did not find a broken connection leading to the receptacle. Which means its either missing inside the wall somewhere or in a junction box done by a previous electrician. To save time and money we installed a tamper resistant GFCI receptacle. Now this Gfci

Reason for today’s visit was to assess issue with the kitchen receptacle is not working. When I arrived on site customer demonstrated that he was unable to reset the GFI in the kitchen. Customer attempted a few times but his fingers were not strong enough to push the reset button into place. I showed him how he can reset it a little bit easier. I walk around kitchen and tested all the outlets by tripping the GFCI with a tester. The GFCI’s all appear to be working properly.

Reason for today’s visit was to check the kitchen gFCI’s to make sure there wasn’t an issue. Customer stated that the GFI tripped next to the fridge which caused the dining area/fireplace room to lose power. The kitchen circuit feeds the dining area which in turn is wired after the GFCI. Attached to the GFCI‘s and they are tripping and working properly. While in-home I inspected the main panel for signs of overheating or issues. I noticed the panel was over 40 years old and found signs of the main logs connecting to the bus bar slightly heating with minimal load in the panel. We do recommend having the panel replaced. We will remove the existing 200 amp Cutler hammer panel and install new 200 amp main breaker panel and its place. We will replace the service cable running from the new panel to the meter as well as install whole home surge protection. We will install new matching breakers and label accurately. We will pull in electrical permit and coordinate county inspection as well as
