Replacing two faulty switches due to ant infestation, also replacing faulty GFCI which has lost its protection safety feature.

The reason for today’s visit was to take a look at a damaged service mast. When I arrived, I met with Mr. Mike, who told me that the contractor through Anne Arundel County had driven a truck through the neighborhood and pulled the service cable down & damaged his service mast. The service mast on the side of the home has been majorly bent out of shape and will need to be replaced. BG&E has made a temporary repair and reconnected the service cable to the mast, but the service drop will need to be replaced/extended to reach the new mast when installed. I’ve provided a solution for the installation of a new service mast and service cable from the point of attachment to the electrical meter. This solution also includes the required permitting and the necessary power company work with to complete the installation. Mr. Mike provided me with contact information for the representative of the contractor involved with the process, I’ve saved this in the job notes. I let Mr. Mike know that I will

replace all 3 devices Today’s service was to check to see why the disposal was not working. Through further investigation, we noted that the devices were not wired correctly and the switch was broken. We replaced all devices and made the proper connections.

For this job, I came out to replace a customer supplied chandelier above the dining room table. Additionally, I extended power from the switch bank by the from door for the installation of a doorbell transfer in place of where the old security keypad was, then hardwired the doorbell. The previous hardwired chime was removed and drywalled over, so I suggest getting Plug In Chimes that Ring has to offer than can sync to the system and can be plugged in anywhere in the home. I provided a separate estimate for future Foyer Chandelier replacement as well as suggesting Whole Home Surge Protection be installed in each panel as they have a 400A service. The reason for today’s visit was to provide pricing for adding a whole home generator hook up. We began down in the basement assessing the main electrical system. We saw a 400 amp service that housed 10 circuits from each panel the customer would like to be on a separate generator panel. We began discussing our options for moving the circuits in their own panel for an interlock set up. Customer stated he has not had to use a generator yet in the home and was more curious to pricing at this time. If he decides to move forward, he will then contact and set up with us at a future date.

For this call, I came out to troubleshoot a 15A circuit where the breaker was tripping. I tested the integrity of the wire and found no faults in the circuit. I determined the older AFCI breaker had gone bad and replaced the breaker. Replace (1) 15A AFCI breaker

Install 2 new gfcis back to back Install fan in new location on back deck The reason for today’s visit was to look at installing new power for two new receptacles outback, as well as installing a new customer wide ceiling fan in a new location on the new porch. We ended up running the line out of the receptacle in the living room next to the TV through the wall and up to the porch ceiling and ran over to the new location. And then installed the customer supply new friend that is controlled by a remote. We then tapped out of a receptacle in the living area on the opposite side of the wall next to the opposite door and installed a new GFCI receptacle that we recessed into the wall to avoid being a trip hazard. Finally, we installed a new GFCI receptacle with the back of the Home next to the addition walk out. Once completed, we tested powered everything and it is all working properly.

There was a loss of power to multiple outlets throughout the home including the garage, exterior, and crawl space. We found it was due to a bad GFCI in the garage that would not reset. We also found 3 exterior outlets that are not weather rated which could easily be part of the problem. Another reason for the GFCI going bad could be from a surge, during our inspection we found a lack of surge protection for the home. Replace Homeline 115 Arc Fault breaker that has begun to trip. Includes Haas and Sons VIP Membership. Called out today to investigate an arc-fault breaker that was tripping. Circuit was one we had previously worked on, having set a junction box for an open splice in the attic. Breaker controlled the master bedroom, water system, fridge in the laundry room, two plugs in son’s room, kitchen pendant lights, and two receptacles in the back addition. Customer stated the tripping had begun a week before, eventually getting to the point where the breaker could not be reset. Customer stated it appeared to happen when the dryer was turned on, which is on a complete different, 240 volt circuit. Breaker only appeared to trip when the son was home, possibly indicating a specific piece of equipment is being turned on, causing the breaker to trip. Run a dedicated 30 amp circuit from panel in hallway, through the attic, to the outside of the home, into a customer supplied car charger. Remove current generator breaker to allow the install of car charger circuit.. Replace dryer breaker to the correct size. Fix open air splice in attic. Called out today to look at running a car charger circuit and a multitude of other electrical issues. Customer has two ceiling fans in the front living room and side room with no switches controlling them. I told the customer that these fans have constant power, having no way to turn the power off. There was also a front GFCI with no power. I discovered that this GFCI was tried into the front living room switch controlled receptacle, thus necessitating the switch being turned on for the front GFCI to work. I also gave a solution to run a dedicated car charger circuit from the electrical panel in the hallway, through the attic to outside, and then install a customer supplied car charger. In my solu

Replace CH 40 space panel with a QO 40 space panel. Install brand new QO breakers correctly sized for circuits and to account for any multiwire branch circuits. Update the grounding system with installation of 8 foot ground rods outside the home, and bond the water heater with a #4 ground wire between the hot, cold, pipe. Install an emergency disconnect in accordance with county safety standards. Install a QO plug-on surge to meet county safety standards. Called out today to investigate a GFCI controlling outside receptacles on the side of the house, gazebo, and down the hill from the house. Opening the receptacle at the side of the house, controlling the LV transformer, and the first receptacle under the kitchenette outside closest to the grill, I tested whether the GFCI would trip depending on the wires connected. The GFCI would not trip with the wires coming from the house disconnected, but would trip when connected to the wires feeding the gazebo. I bypassed the receptacle in this situation. This could potentially signify a broken or damaged wire in the ground causing the ground-fault. Another technician will come out Thursday with a circuit tracer to try and find the break. Today I replaced the receptacle and GFCI in the laundry room, and the first outside receptacles on the circuit controlling the LV lighting. We went and saw a new dedicated 30 amp 240 V circuit from the main panel out through the yard to the shed in the back right corner. Installation of new eight circuit 30 amp sub panel at the shed Install ground rods for new shed subpanel Install new 20 amp receptacle off of the new sub panel for a window air conditioning unit Returns today and completed quoted work. We previously had the underground company new three-quarter inch PVC line from the house to the back of the shed. We install new number 10 wire from the house to the shed and installed a new tenant space QO subpanel Inside the shed. We installed two new ground rods and tied into the shed subpanel. We also installed a new dedicated 20 amp circuit for a plug-in air conditioner inside. We also refed the shed wiring to the sub panel. We then ran PVC down the side of the home and into the main panel located in the basement. Was completed he tested all power and everything is working properly.

We have sent the estimates regarding the new ceiling fan installations. We recommend having the cutler hammer breaker removed from panel and a GE breaker installed.

Installation of push style timer switch for new fan Reason for today’s visit was to replace an existing bathroom exhaust fan in second-floor toilet room in the primary bathroom. Existing fan did not work and was on a standard switch. Original fan was also not vented outside of the home. Today we went ahead and installed a new Panasonic quiet, type fan and its place and installed a timer switch to control the fan. We also installed new insulated ductwork. We also installed a new gooseneck vent out on the roof between the two existing ones.
