Job Locations and Reviews
The reason for Today’s visit was to take a look at a kitchen/microwave circuit that was smoking. When I arrived, I met with Austin, who showed me the GFCI that he noticed the burning smell/smoke originating from. (To the left of the oven). I opened up the GFCI and microwave receptacle and confirmed that the GFCI itself was melting, caused by a loose termination (with some conductor insulation under the screw as well) which sent enough heat back down to the GFCI to cause it to burn. I checked both the GFCI on the line side and the load side of this receptacle and found no burning present on the conductors in each device location. I’ve completed the work listed below, tested & verified everything is now operating properly. - Removal and replacement of kitchen GFCI to the left of the oven - Removal of Microwave receptacle and installation of new box & receptacle, due to damage of current metal box and wiring

(08/11/26) - Today’s visit we installed a light fixture to match the other existing light fixture on the other side of the door, we replaced the existing light fixture, and ran a new wire to our new one through the attic space to avoid drywall cutting, and the ran the wire down for the switch leg of our switch. We replaced the 2 gang switches and the outlet that had the wire that ran outside. Called out today to give solutions to run dedicated circuits for a dryer and washing machine. Home is a single level duplex that is being rented out in the future, with a 2 foot crawlspace underneath. Plumbers had not ran the waterlines for the washing machine yet, and I recommended to the customer that they do that first so we know for certain where the appliances will be. Wrote the solution to run two dedicated circuits for the washer and dryer into the crawlspace and up into the fridge recessed area adjacent to the panel room.
Checked all the devices in the area where customer had thought that Sparks were seen. We found no signs of damage or no issues that need to be addressed.
For this job, I came out to troubleshoot a basement circuit not working. The customer stated the breaker was very hot to the touch. I opened the panel and the conductor connection was not tight at all on the breaker. I replaced the breaker under warranty and suggested due to the age and condition of the basement receptacles and switches we replace all of them, which I did. Lastly, I replaced a customer supplied ceiling fan. Replace (8) receptacles and (2) switches on the basement circuit Replace basement ceiling fan

Ray was through and professional discussing the solution needed from deactivating our deck lights. Once he explained the solution he was quick and efficient getting the work done.
Excellent service. Helpful information.
I highly recommend Haas and Sons for any electrical work. They were recommended to me by a friend, and I’m glad I gave them a call. I had a big job done: they replaced all the plugs and switches, electrical panel, mast on the roof, and replaced a few lights in the basement and in addition installed a dining room light for free. I have a really cluttered house and they had to move a lot of junk and heavy furniture to find and replace the plugs, but they were very good natured about it. The crew worked very hard and got the job done quicker than I expected. They were all very professional and pleasant, and I feel confident in their work. I will not hesitate to hire them again in the future.
Mike arrived on time and was very professional, explained how work would be done and was very informative about types of install.
