Arrived onsite and the resident showed us to the dining room where he had a switch taken apart that was mostly burnt up wires, all aluminum. He told me he found it that way and turned power off immediately. After investigating he has a lot of aluminum wiring throughout the home that i talked to the residents about, informed and educated as to what keeping that will do, and what’s solutions we can provide. After that talk i wrote up a price for a redevice and whole home alumicon job because the circuits are very overloaded and aluminum in most the house. We also talked about our vip membership which he purchased along with the fix for today, which was to take all the wires apart, tape them all up, alumicon all the connections and install a new single pole switch. Now the light connected to that switch works again after our repair.
Arrived onsite and talked to the resident about the ceiling fan they wanted to add in the hallway bathroom, we had talked about two outside coach lights one on the back of the house and one on the front of the house as well. She also mentioned her outlets throughout the home are loose in some spots so i discussed a redevice job with her. For today she chose option 1 which was to have a fan added in the hallway bedroom, and the single gang changed to a 3 gang so she has switch controlled outlet, fan light, and then fan in that order for the 3 gang. We hung the fan light side down per request while i tied in the gang box, and then we cleaned up all the plastic we laid to protect the ground. After the fan was hung we restored power to that circuit and tested all the switches a the new fan, and allow were verified working. I also talked to the resident about out vip membership plan when we were discussing options and she ended up signing up for that as well.
We will remove all aluminum wire devices in the home and install new devices with proper aluminum to copper connections are. We will also pull down all the light fixtures and install proper aluminum to copper connections We will rewire the basement area where it is accessible We will install new bathroom exhaust fan, as well as a vanity light supplied by the customer in the first floor bathroom. We will install new wiring in the ceiling for a customer supplied ceiling fan in the primary bedroom. Installation of whole home surge protection at the main panel
Reason for today’s visit was for customer having to replace their HVAC unit. We ran a 50 amp circuit from the main panel to the general area for the new HVAC unit. Dennis and his apprentice were amazing. From the moment they placed their mat on my front step they were complete professionals and did excellent work. I needed an overhead light placed where there was no existing electrical work. Upon inspection of my home they made some safety recommendations (we are talking a 1957 rancher here with some older stuff in it) and upgrades. Same day of service call they upgraded some melting wiring in my electric box, replaced my fire alarm, and started work on installing an outside outlet. They returned a couple days later and installed the light and ensure I was happy and comfortable with everything every step of the way. They answered all of my questions and were very knowledgeable. Any electric work I need in the future I hope to get Dennis and his team again!
