Today was a return visit to check for damage is done from the improper voltage being sent to customers home. Yesterday we came out a customer request to inspect a microwave as well as several things about the house that we’re not working properly. We were quickly able to determine that the issue was a power company issue in which the voltage was not balance properly meaning that they were getting roughly 150 V on one leg and just over 100 on another. This was causing things on one leg to struggle to work. On today’s visit, we were easily able to terminate the oven as well as the microwave. We’re both damaged from this issue, as well as the garage door opener, which is struggling to open and close the door and not working properly.

We determined that the power loss and the house was due to improper voltage coming from the power company. When we turn the main breaker off and tested the line coming inside the house we found that one leg was getting 109 V and the other was getting 150. We then went outside, tested the meter to make sure that the issue itself wasn’t on the customers end and found that there is what appears to be a loose or lost neutral, causing an improper balance of the voltage. We would highly recommend having us come back out after power company addresses issue so we can assess Home for any further damage to electrical system.

Quote to install new 200 amp electric system for the home. We will obtain electrical permits and inspection for this project. We will obtain BGE work order and organize their inspection/ work. Installation to meet national/ local codes and safety requirements. These tasks are outlined below in the line items- panel, electrical grounding, bonding, surge protection, breakers, and misc. Installation of new smoke detectors replacing current battery operated smoke detectors with hardwired 10 year sealed battery backup.

Mike knows what he is doing and he is excellent at what he does. What is equally meaningful and great is that he is so genuinely nice. This visit was second time he came to my home. Genny Ginger from Hass and Sons Electrical responded to install a ceiling fan in my breakfast room. She did an excellent job. She discovered one of my switches was bad and replaced it also. Genny additionally told me about some other switches I should consider changing. Fantastic personality and very knowledgeable.

Dennis and Daniel were the absolute best! They arrived on time and provided excellent customer service! I had previously hired another electrician to do this job, and after two days trying to fix my problem, nothing was resolved. However, five minutes on the job, Dennis from Haas & Sons had my switch, light, and ceiling fan working! Dennis also was able to help me make the best decision when choosing another ceiling fan and switch combo for a second bedroom replacement. He gave great advice and expertise. Daniel also did a great job installing the new fan! I absolutely love it! I highly recommend this company, especially if you want the job done right the first time. I will definitely use them again.
