Significant drywall damage will have to be done to run the new wires to the pendants due to no attic access. Redevice all plugs on the GFCI circuit with brand new weather resistant devices and bubble covers. Install a new GFCI receptacle in the basement and plug in the garage. All devices will be wired with the correct pigtail wiring method. Called out today to investigate a GFCI receptacle that was intermittently tripping. Opening up the outside plugs, we discovered them to be extremely rusty and wired with stab-wired connections. The seals for the bubble covers were also starting to deteriorate, allowing water to enter the devices, causing the GFCI to trip. We gave a solution today to replace all devices on the circuit to reset the life of the circuit.
