Install jbox and extend cut wire Customer had plumbers open up the wall to install new drain lines for a washer and then doing so they cut the wire going to the refrigerator. I was able to pull the wire back and install a junction box on the opposite side of the wall where the washer and dryer located. I installed roughly a 2 foot jumper wire from the junction box to the existing receptacle and splice it through. Once complete completed everything is back up and running.

For this job, we came out for a flickering light in the bathroom and found a loose connection on the switch causing the intermittent issue. Opened up a few more devices and determined there was a pattern of the “backstab” wiring method throughout. I educated the customer on potential hazards and showed with photos from a recent re-device how we remediate the issue.
