The reason for today’s visit was to provide solution for a EV charger install. Customer had purchased an EV charger already but, when shown the difference between hardwired and plug in models she would prefer the hardwired version and will be returning what she purchased. As we began at the panel, i saw a 97 Cutler Hammer CH panel with no surge but proper grounding and bonding. Each neutral was under the own terminal on the ground bar and i saw no signs of issues with the branch circuits. The customer did however have Solar installed and had a passing permit labeled on the panel from 2017-19 timeline. After discussing the options for today’s visit, a solution was provided for running a new 60 amp circuit by way of directional boring. We would run #6 THHN wire through 3/4 inch conduit from the panel room (in basement) through the front yard and under the flower bed having stubbed the wires on the exterior of the garage. We would then drill through the brick on the garage to land a junct

Today’s visit was for dedicated circuit to new pool pump. During assessment, I saw the CH panel, even though clean, was at full capacity. To make room for a dedicated circuit, please see solutions to get this resolved for you.
We will replace the existing 200 amp panel with a new 42 space panel with all new matching breakers. We will install new service cable to replace the deteriorating existing cable from the panel to the meter as well as from the meter can to the new mast. We were installing new service mast through the roof to raise the cable up off of the house We will install new grounding system which includes main water grounding, as well as ground rods on the outside of them. We will accurately label panel and check once completed. We will pull an electrical permit and coordinate county inspections, as well as power company tie in. We will pull dedicated circuit to the microwave, as well as install a new dedicated circuit with a receptacle in the front portion of the Home.
Customer wanted six additional recessed can lights installed in living room on top floor. While doing my assessment before beginning the work, I saw that the panel was a Bryant panel original to the home in 1979. I strongly recommend getting this replaced as soon as possible. Reason for today’s visit was to assess power loss in the home. When I arrived at the home, customer stated that she was using the treadmill earlier and then realized that she lost power to most of the Home. Well going to the Home I started to notice that This was definitely larger than a single circuit shorting out. This led me to go check the main panel to see if there was proper power coming into the home. When I tested the main log above the main breaker, I was only getting power on one leg. And then went outside and opened up the meter and found one of the legs was no longer in the crimp For the line side of the meter. I noticed that it was occasionally arcing because it was trying to make contact. I had customer call Pepco while I was on site to help them get this remedied. While standing over there, checking the power we looked up and noticed that the main triplex line coming to the home was resting on the roof. I ran a #4 bare copper ground wire from the main shut off valve in the utility room. Stapled it to the joists then ran it through the finished ceiling in the basement to the main electrical panel. Then i installed the ground wire and landed it on the ground/neutral bar in the main electrical panel I removed all smoke detectors in the home (3. One for each floor) these were the ones you could remove the battery.
