Arrived onsite and explained he wanted to get his lighting done all over his house, but for this particular project was looking to get it done in the living room downstairs, 6 new recess lights and a new 3 way system added in, 4 recess in the master bedroom and the replacement of a ceiling fan as well, and then the new install of 2 ceiling fans in the other upstairs bedrooms as well. Based off the age of the home i also talked to him about smoke detectors, the panel, and a redevice due to the age of everything and he seemed pretty interested in getting it done. I wrote up this lighting project we were called out for today and he wanted to schedule as soon as Monday, and then other people started showing up giving him estimates while we were still there and he asked me to email it to him so that’s what i will do.
Arrived onsite and walked throughout the home and looked room by room at the different projects they wanted done. We landed on the plan of adding 6 recess to the family room on a dimmer, 6 recess in the tv room on a dimmer, replacing the master bedroom ceiling fan, replacing the other 2 bedrooms ceiling fans, and then adding new wiring and hanging a ceiling fan in the office space at the end of the hallway. I made suggestions and showed them options of what they could do as well with the space, and then we laid out a plan for each room. Afterwards i typed up options for the recess layouts and the fan options, went over them with her and she just wants to discuss the options with her husband before moving forward.
Today we found a switch control receptacle that was controlled by three-way switches at the entrance to the living room. Found that the kitchen light was flickering due to non-dimmable bulbs in a light that is controlled by a dimmer. Provide a pricing to replace 110 amp breaker as well as the separate double tapped neutrals inside the main panel.
Reason for today’s visit was for install of EV charger circuit. Customer did not have charger in hand and wanted a quote only. While doing the assessment, we saw a few things of note that should be corrected. There were 240V circuits that were on single pole breakers, multi wire branch circuit on single pole breakers, and double tapped neutrals. We also recommend installing a surge to protect the circuit as well as the whole home. Please see attached for getting this taken care of for you. Thanks!
Reason for the call was the range receptacle was hanging out of the wall. This needed a box and receptacle replacement. We also saw the panel was an old CH split buss with no main breaker. We highly recommend getting this replaced. Please see attached for replacing. Replace three prong range receptacle Install new box for range receptacle
