Arrived onsite and it was clear he was remodeling the whole house. He showed us down to the basement where the new sump pump was about 7 feet away from the panel. I wrote up options to get that ran and inspection ready, including the pulling of the permit as well. I also talked to him about whole home surge protection and bonding at the water heater since both were missing and in the area that is getting done, and inspected next. I wrote up a few options for him, but given the holidays the resident was in a tight spot so i will be emailing the estimates over to him.
Arrived onsite and he explained to me where he wanted to get the Ev charger installed, walked me through the basement and showed me the main panel. I planned out a path i would run my wire and walked him through the process and then wrote up options for him. Given the age of the home there is no current whole home surge protection either, so i explained that in depth to the residents as well as the chargers and how they work as well. We sat down and took a look, and they told me they wanted to think about it due to the time of year, but email it and they’ll let us know.
Replace kitchen GFCI next to the cooktop and remove the other GFCI and installed a GFCI breaker. All the countertop receptacles are GFCI protected and working properly..
Install 2 customer supplied ceiling fans in bedrooms on top floor. Replace doorbell transformer with larger 40 VAC unit to accommodate video doorbell. 12/13 We returned today and completed quoted work. We installed two new customer Supplied ceiling fans in the front office and the front bedroom. We installed new fan brace boxes, as well as rewired through the attic and attached up to an attic light. We tested both ceiling fans once installed, and everything is working properly.
Did a whole home inspection and found all the devices in the home are pretty old, loose, or broken. I brought the immediate issues to their attention and we ended up addressing those today as well as having a talk about a redevice of the house as well. The following items listed below are what we addressed today. Me and Tyler replaced the outside 3 outlets together, then came inside and he replaced the GFCI next to the stove and on the dining room wall, while i reinstall everything i pulled to troubleshot, as well as completely redid the outlet behind the fridge as well. I also went and installed the correct type of dimmer into the family room to control their led lights, and the lighting no longer flickers. 12/9-12/10 Monday and Tuesday all day. Day #1: Redevice completed for garage, basement, basement bedrooms and laundry room. Will return tomorrow to begin main level. Day #2: Redevice complete for sitting room, living room, living room office and main floor hallway. Will ret

Mike showed up on time and called me before he arrived. He did complete inspection of electrical system and recommend some repairs for safety. He cleaned up his job site in a manner that it looked like he was never in the room.
