We were called out today to examine the overhead service line sheathing. We noted significant deterioration of the wires sheathing upon visual examination. After examining the line more we moved inside to examine the panel. The panel was newer but included violations such as double tapped neutrals and shared neutral circuits. We also noticed significant damage on the interior feed line, this damage actually temporarily disabled power during our visit but started working again after being wiggled. In addition, the meter on the inside is significantly damaged. It looked like someone used an hammer to pry it open. Outlets are original to the home and some were missing grounds upon inspection. After doing a whole home inspection we began writing our quotes. We provided two quotes to the client, the first quote uses the 100 AMP panel that is currently in the home and the second quote includes an upgrade to a 200 AMP panel. At this time customer has not signed on to proceed, he wanted time t

Today’s visit was for ceiling fan and receptacle not working. During assessment, I saw ceiling fan would need a three wire for light and fan motor to operate separately. The receptacles were backstabbed and the wires coming out of the receptacle was loose and exposed. This cause the receptacle to stop working. Please see below for work performed to resolve this. Install new switch leg for ceiling fan Replace all devices on second floor for master bedroom and spare room circuit

I removed a junction box that was screwed to the floor under the dishwasher in the kitchen. The feed was coming through the floor So I ran a new multi feed circuit from the main electrical panel through the utility room up into the kitchen under the sink then pvc piped it for better protection into a 1900 box. I then re fed the garbage disposal switch which only had a 14-2 wire to it. I replaced it with a 14-3. I installed a QO arc fault 2 pole 15 amp breaker And I installed 2 gfcis under the sink. I then put a company supplied cord on the garbage disposal and a customer supplied cord to the dishwasher. I tested the garbage disposal but not the washing machine as it wasn’t hooked up to the water line yet Customer has a 18 month warranty Labeled circuits on panel
